A Festive ‘Christmas in July’ Bus Trip

On 12 July, almost 50 Resthaven Paradise & Eastern Community Services clients enjoyed a festive ‘Christmas in July’ themed bus trip to the Adelaide Hills.

Manager, Sue Dahl, says, ‘The first stop was Ferryden Park, for a “behind the scenes” tour of the Christmas pageant float and workshop.’

‘Clients were delighted to learn how the floats are built, and see all the costumes worn by pageant participants.’

‘After the workshop tour, participants boarded their bus to the Woodside Hotel, where the group enjoyed a traditional Christmas lunch of roast turkey with all the trimmings, followed by Christmas pudding.’

‘After a festive Christmas lunch, clients then enjoyed one final destination – a trip to Melba’s Chocolate factory.’

‘It was a wonderful day out, and we hope everyone had a great time!’

Resthaven Paradise & Eastern Community Services runs bus trips once a month for all Commonwealth Home Support Program clients.
