    Bunnings kick-start gardening group

On 1 February, Resthaven Westbourne Park welcomed a special visitor from Edwardstown Bunnings, who brought with her a generous donation for a group of green thumbs on site.

Lifestyle Coordinator, Rachael Ross, explains, ‘With the recent nice weather, several residents have been inspired to start up a gardening group on-site.’

‘To kick-start the project, I made a trip to our local Bunnings, and I got to chatting with Lisa, a staff member who was excited about the idea and offered to assist.’

As part of the Bunnings Community Program, the team at Edwardstown were fully onboard to make the resident’s garden project come to life.

‘After discussing what we needed with the group, Lisa came to visit and donated a heap of supplies, offering her time to educate us on what we were planting and how best to look after them.’

‘Putting on a pair of gardening gloves, each resident took turns going up to plant flowers and veggies in our new garden beds, with Lisa by their side.’

‘We are so thankful for the kind donation from Bunnings, and we look forward to watching our new garden flourish!’
