Minister Wyatt speaks to Innovation Hub

Today, the Minister for Ageing will address members of the Innovation Hub.

Richard Hearn (Resthaven Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the SA Innovation Hub) will welcome Minister for Ageing, the Hon Ken Wyatt AM MP, before the Minister addresses Hub members at a seminar at The Lakes Hotel, West Lakes.

Richard explains, ‘Resthaven is an inaugural member of the SA Innovation Hub, which is a ‘community of practice’ in action that translates ideas, innovation, learning and research into practice.’

Hub members comprise ACH Group, Barossa Village, Bene, Boandik Lodge, Helping Hand, Kalyra, Lifecare, Resthaven, and Southern Cross Care, with COTA SA and Aboriginal Elders Council providing consultative support to projects. The Hub members’ CEOs meet once a month to set and oversee the focus areas for the work of the SA Innovation Hub.

‘The CEOs select senior team members to participate and progress the work of the Hub in a developmental process that encourages innovation.’

‘At the seminar, the Minister will learn about the quality frameworks and quality of life initiatives of the SA Innovation Hub Continuous Quality Improvement working group.’

‘He will then update the group on recent legislative reviews and good governance. This is another key interest area of the Hub.’

‘We are very keen to maximise this opportunity to hear from the Minister.’

Resthaven Board members will meet together after the seminar for their annual workshop.
