Resthaven Limestone Coast Community Services runs a day and overnight respite cottage at 914 Pavy Drive, Naracoorte for older people, to give their carer a break from their caring role.

‘Meals are cooked specifically for them, catering for personal preferences and dietary requirements, and the accommodation is comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom.’
‘Clients can relax at the cottage, or go for outings – we might pop out for a coffee, go shopping, or visit the caves – it’s really up to them.’
‘Our staff can come and collect the person from their home, and bring them back again after their stay – this is really important for carers who find the distance off-putting.’
‘People can visit the cottage for anything from a couple of hours to several days.’
We are holding an ‘Open House’ on 21 February from 11am – 3pm for people to come and have a look at the cottage, and learn about the support we offer.
