Community Services office at Strathalbyn officially opened

The Resthaven Murray Bridge, Hills and Fleurieu Community Services offices at Strathalbyn are officially open!

The new Strathalbyn offices were officially opened on 27 February 2017 by Mayor of Alexandrina Council, Keith Parkes, and Resthaven Executive Manager Community Services, Sue McKechnie.

Resthaven staff and locals alike flocked to the offices for the cake-cutting ceremony and morning tea.

Amongst the guests were Resthaven CEO, Richard Hearn, Executive Managers, Sue McKechnie (Community Services), Wendy Morey (Governance and Workforce Development) and David Norton (Financial Services), along with Board President, Mark Porter, who made a short speech (pictured).

‘Resthaven is in an excellent position to provide residential care and community services across the Fleurieu through the hills to Murray Bridge,’ he said.

‘The opening of this new office in Strathalbyn is as much a measure of Resthaven’s commitment to its mission as it is to the region.’

‘On behalf of the Resthaven Board, I thank everyone involved in establishing this office, and wish them every success in their work.’

Manager, Cecelia Oxborrow, and her team, are looking forward to working out of the new office space, which has been fully refurbished to house Resthaven staff, and the local Regional Assessment Service (RAS).

The ‘tuscan-style’ courtyard is a particular highlight, with Cecelia saying, ‘I hope clients find it a relaxing and welcoming place to enjoy our many wellness programs.’

Following the official opening, an ‘Open Day’ was held for members of the public to come and see the range of services Resthaven has to offer.
