    Christmas display brings festive cheer

Resthaven residents have created a bounty of handmade decorations to be displayed on the ‘Resthaven tree’ at St Peters Anglican Church at Glenelg, as part of the church’s annual Christmas tree display.

Resthaven Marion Lifestyle Coordinator, Karen Neighbour, says, ‘Residents from several Resthaven sites across the southern areas contributed handmade items to decorate the Resthaven Christmas tree.’

‘A special feature of our tree are glittery “Resthaven” baubles, which are intermingled with the handmade items.’

‘Another amazing contribution is the beautiful knitted nativity set, made by Mrs Alabaster, complete with baby Jesus, three wise men, Mary, Joseph, and even some woolly sheep!’

‘Resthaven Marion residents visited the church on Friday 23 November, and were delighted to see our tree shining bright amongst the others in the festive display.’

‘The church welcomed us with a scrumptious afternoon tea.’

‘Thank you to all those who contributed to the Christmas display – we hope it brings everyone much joy this festive season.’
