Flowers delight at Resthaven Paradise

The Resthaven Paradise Spring Flower Show is back for another year, with the site community creating beautiful floral arrangements with their springtime favourites from the site gardens.

The annual event at the home was introduced by Coordinating Chaplain, Rev Cate Baker, a decade ago, and has been going strong ever since!

Acting Lifestyle Coordinator, Malina Bastola, says, ‘With flowers in full bloom at this time of year, the flower show is a highly anticipated event on our social calendar.’

‘It’s a great way to stimulate the senses and fill up the hall with the beauty of nature.’

‘Residents have once again picked their favourite roses and flowers, which we grow in our beautiful site gardens, to craft their floral centrepiece.’

‘We all enjoy the sweet perfume of the flowers, and residents reminisce about the flowers from their childhood and the special memories that these sensory experiences bring with them.’

‘It was great to see the entire site community being involved, with residents being supported by volunteers, families, and the lifestyle team.’

‘We are so proud of our beautiful gardens, and this way, we showcase the blooms for everyone to enjoy!’
