Friendship Scarves Keep out the Cold at Regency Cottage

Resthaven Western Community Services ‘Regency Cottage’ guests are keeping out the cold by knitting colourful ‘friendship scarves’ together during their respite stays.

Coordinator, Jodi Brabon, says, ‘Guests at our Regency Cottage respite house make the scarves whilst enjoying a yarn over a nice hot cuppa.’

‘Friendship is the thread that ties us all together, and what nicer way to celebrate this than by making someone a handmade heartfelt gift.’

‘Norma loves her scarf, which was made for her by fellow guest, Margaret.’

    ‘Well done, ladies!’

The Resthaven Western Community Services ‘Regency Cottage’ respite house, located at 111 Regency Road, Croyden Park, provides day stays for older people, giving carers a break from their caring role.

Guests enjoy stimulating activities, home cooked meals, and socialisation with others, with support from Resthaven staff.
