Resthaven Building Projects Update – Residential Services

These are the latest updates on the building projects currently underway at Resthaven Craigmore, Aberfoyle Park, Mitcham, and Mount Gambier.

The concrete slab for the six room extension at Resthaven Craigmore was completed in late December 2016 (pictured above).

Emmet says, ‘The aim of the extension is to remove our existing shared rooms, and provide the majority of the site with single rooms with ensuites.’

‘Several existing shared rooms will be converted into large, premium ‘suites’, either for couples, or for those wanting a little extra space.’

The major redevelopment at Resthaven Mitcham, at 17 Hill Street, Kingswood, continues to proceed apace.

Building Services Manager, Emmet O’Donovan, says, ‘The underground services and concrete slab for the ground floor substructure are complete, and the steel structure super frame is now being erected.’

‘Once complete, the redevelopment will provide single rooms with ensuites to all residents.’

    Resthaven Mount Gambier

The extended café, patio and reception areas at Resthaven Mount Gambier are practically complete, with new furniture complementing the stylish new area. Resthaven Mount Gambier

‘Residents and staff are delighted with the space, which includes a now-weatherproofed café area, additional landscaping and water feature,’ says Emmet.

‘Other improvements to the site include weatherproofing of resident balconies on the first floor, a new flag pole to the front of the building, and solar panels to the roof.’

‘In addition to this, the site has been enabled for temporary generator connection in the event of a power outage.’
