A rising star employee at Resthaven Craigmore
Having started her role as an Enrolled Nurse with Resthaven more than six months ago, Eloise Head has proven herself to be a rising star at Resthaven Craigmore, inspiring others along the way.
Sylvia Powell, Executive Manager People and Culture, took notice of Eloise, explaining ‘Eloise is motivated, positive and collaborative. She will always chip in and assist, including support to personal care work.’
Himadri “Himi” Sadhu, Lifestyle Coordinator, has also noticed the difference she makes to all on-site.
‘I always feel confident when Eloise is here. She checks in with me, and I see her checking in with other staff to make sure things are running smoothly,’ says Himi.
Himi notes Eloise’s special flair with residents.
‘We have residents who can be a bit restless. Eloise will check in with them, and even if, for only ten minutes, she will walk with them outside into the garden, bringing a book along to read to them. This simple gesture makes a huge difference and can shift their mood for the day.’
‘Eloise is always checking the calendar for upcoming resident birthdays so that no one is missed. She will walk by everyone’s room and ask if they need anything before she leaves, and she will always make sure a show is on in the common room for residents who like watching television.’
It is the little things that make such a difference.
Residents also have a lot to say about Eloise.
‘I feel good when she is looking after me.’
‘I am very confident when she comes in, I know she will care for me how I need.’
She is a big hit with resident families too.
