Stage two of the $27m major redevelopment at Resthaven Bellevue Heights continues, with the construction of a new service level and a dementia-specific area on the entry level.
Manager Residential Services, Leanne Spencer, says, ‘The entry level structure is now being erected, which incorporates 23 new rooms.’
‘The internal refurbishment of “Banksia” is now complete, and work is progressing well on the refurbishment of the “Acacia” area of the home.’
‘The completed areas are looking magnificent. Residents are very happy to be able to use these new contemporary spaces.’
‘We are all enjoying seeing the daily progress as the redevelopment continues.’
‘In addition, the improvements in the retirement living communal area, Gum Tree Lodge, are now substantially complete.’
‘We can’t wait to see the finished result.’
‘I thank all staff, residents, and families for being so patient and understanding whilst we undergo this major project.’
The redevelopment is expected to be complete in the second half of 2024. It aims to bring a new contemporary feel to the home and take full advantage of the sweeping views of Sturt Gorge, and the beautiful native-themed site grounds.
