Men’s social group’s crafty visit to Bunnings

This week, the ‘Men’s Group’ at Resthaven Westbourne Park was invited to Edwardstown Bunnings for a special project in the workshop.

Lifestyle Coordinator, Rachael Ross, says, ‘We have a great relationship with our local Bunnings, who often provide support to us through their Bunnings Community Program.’

After learning about the site’s ‘Men’s Group’, the staff at Bunnings organised a workshop for eight residents to build wooden crates in the workshop.

‘The group members were so excited to visit, that we took the Resthaven bus out for the occasion.’

‘Once we arrived, the group set up shop on their workshop table, and with the assistance of staff, the group built a crate each, finishing the job with a healthy coat of paint.’

‘We received a lot of positive feedback from everyone who attended, and they have been proudly showing off their work to everyone back home!’
